2017 Sienna SE Premium FWD

There is nothing mini about Toyota’s Sienna SE Premium FWD Minivan. Big on style and personality, the Sienna is light years beyond its boxy predecessors. Gone are the hard lines and Soccer Mom persona as the Sienna is a leader in the multi-passenger (8 as a matter of fact) game. ‘Sleek’ and ‘Cool’ are two words that normally don’t hover around in the same solar system when referencing minivans, but they are so apropos in this case.

Smoked Chrome Auto On/Off Headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights and the Power Tilt and Slide Moonroof add to the appeal of the Sienna. Dual Power Sliding Side Doors paired with a low clearance for easy entry and exit, the Sienna is a breeze to navigate.

The power liftgate also comes in handy for easy loading and unloading. Storage is also at a premium with the Removable Tip-Up and Long Slide Captain Chairs with Stowable Center Seat 2nd row and 60/40 Split and Stow 3rd Row Seat with One-Motion Stow. With a lift and pull or push, the Sienna has a plethora of storage options.  The linear, laid back and smooth concept takes all the minivan stigma away and replaces it with an on-trend and in the ‘now’ look.

The performance of the Sienna SE Premium has also been upgraded for the 2017 model year. The 3.5-Liter, V6 DOHC 24-Valve D-4S Injection with Dual VVT-I Engine coupled with a Direct Shift 8-Speed Automatic Transmission with Intelligence (ECT-I) and Sport-Tuned Steering and Suspension kick up the horsepower to 296 ponies. Pretty impressive for a minivan. The combined 22-MPG (19-City and 27-Hwy) is decent for a V6. The Sienna drove like a dream. Cruising around and transitioning from city to highway driving was seamless.

Toyota keeps their commitment to safety with its 5-Star Overall Safety Rating. Scoring 5 stars in the Driver’s Frontal and Side Crash and 4 stars in Rollover and Passenger Frontal Crash tests, the Sienna is one of the safest in its segment. Combine that with an impressive about of airbags at seemingly every turn, the Star Safety System that features: Enhanced VehicleAnti-Lock Brake System, Traction Control, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Smart Stop Technology, Toyota has you covered.

Rivaling some of its high-end counterparts in the SUV realm, this minivan’s interior can give them a run for their money. The leather-trimmed front seats with 8-way Power Driver’s seat, 3-Zone Automatic Climate Control (Drivers, Passenger and Rear Zones), Dual-View Blu-Ray Rear Seat Entertainment and the ‘Don’t make me pull over’ Easy Speak feature. This feature amplifies your voice through the speakers in the rear of the Sienna to ‘check’ aka communicate with passengers/kids. Multiple volume settings allow you to get your point across in either ‘Mom’ or ‘Voice of God’ mode. Other treats like the standard Entune App suite, 7-inch Hi-Res Touch-Screen, AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX/Bluetooth, SXM (3-month free trial), HD Radio, Navigation and Backup Camera Display give the Sienna SE Premium ‘don’t hate me because I’m sexy,’ bragging rights.
